We’ll have a convenient booth set up in a room that we’ll be taking photos in.
The photo will make for a lovely memento of your con. So how about it?
Note: This panel is where our photographers take pictures of you, so please refrain from taking pictures by yourself. We will distribute you the pictures at a later date.
Because of the limited time, we may not be able to guarantee your request, such as a picture with 2 or more patrons.

“I’ve heard about it, but what exactly is vaping?” Starting from this question, I’ll discuss what it is so that you can get a solid understanding.
Whether you’ve been a supporter of e-cigarettes since its debut, or are a person who wants to become more knowledgeable, I’ll use all my knowledge and talk to you about it!

I’ll be teaching you how to move your character while fursuiting. A character isn’t just all about appearances! If you don’t know how to expressively move while in suit, or if you want your movements to be assessed, stop on by! Hints that can help you improve can be found here~

このJMoFに人狼が参加するという情報を手に入れた。どうやらよからぬことを考えているらしい。しかもその流れに乗じようとする妖狐がいるらしい。参加者に手がかけられてはいけない！あなたの手でこのイベントを守り、逆に人狼をモフモフし尽くせ！
（参加人数が12人を超えた場合、申し訳ありませんが当日じゃんけん勝負で勝った方が参加となります。負けた方にも観戦でミニゲームに挑戦していただく予定なのでお気軽にどうぞ。）

We’ve received information that there’s a werewolf attending JMoF. We’re pretty sure he’s up to something… What’s more, it seems like there’s a fox spirit that’s decided to show up, too. It can’t handle having any hands on it! So, with your hand, protect this event, and pet the werewolf as much as you can!
(If more than 12 participants show up, we are sorry, but a rock-paper-scissors tournament will decide which 12 will be able to participate. For everyone else, a spectator mini-game will be held, so please don’t hesitate to come and attend!)

「日本版 擬人化文化についての研究プロジェクト（JARP）」は、多様な視点からファーリー／ケモノ文化について研究を行うべく立ち上げられた学際的研究グループです。私たちは既にこうした活動を行っている国際的研究プロジェクト（IARP）と連携しながら、ファーリー／ケモナーとそうでない人の双方がこの文化やコミュニティについてよりよく理解できるように、調査を通じてそのための手段を提供することを目的としています。
この枠では、これまで6年にわたって海外で行われてきたIARPの活動を中心に、こうした研究で実際にどのような活動が行われ、何が明らかになったのか、分かりやすく紹介・解説します。「敷居が高そうだし何をやっているのかわからない……」そんなあなたの疑問やコメントも大歓迎です！

The Japan Anthropomorphic Research Project (JARP) is an interdisciplinary research group that was started in order to conduct research regarding furry/kemono culture from variegated viewpoints. While we cooperate with the International Anthropomorphic Research Project (IARP), a group that has already conducted these types of activities before, we aim to provide a means by which both furries and non-furries alike can better understand this culture and community.
In this vein, at this furry research review, we plan to introduce and discuss in layman’s terms mainly what kinds of activities and research the IARP has been conducting overseas for the past 6 years, and what has been brought to light because of it. If you feel like you don’t know exactly what is going on with this, or if you feel hesitant to come for any reason, please don’t be afraid to attend! Your questions and comments are heavily welcomed!

★Furry研究会：「Furry/ケモノ文化を文字・言葉でも楽しもう」
Furry研究会 JMoF 2017大会では、Furry/ケモノ文化について考えるグループワークを実施します。JMoFの場で、ケモノに対する思いを語り合ってみませんか？皆様の奮ってのご参加をお待ちしております。
JMoF 2016では参加者公募企画「ケモナー論文公聴会」にて、「ケモノを学問の切り口で見る」という新しい楽しみ方が提案されました。この取り組みを一過性のもので終わらせず、今後も継続させたいという思いから、この度はFurry研究会の立ち上げに至りました。
「ケモノってなんだろう？」「何故私たちはケモノに惹かれるのだろう？」ケモノについて真剣に論考してみたい方、大募集です。皆さんのケモノに対する思いを語る場所を提供します。
Furry研究会ではこれまでに、
・「ケモナー論文公聴会」に引き続いての豅リリョウ氏・まんぐ氏による講演
・個人のFurry/ケモナー歴共有
・Furry/ケモノ文化に関する特定のトピックについて考えるグループワーク
を行ってきました。

★Japan Furry culture Studying Society: “Enjoying Furry/Kemono Culture Through Letters and Words”
Through the Japan Furry culture Studying Society meeting here at JMoF 2017, we’ll conduct group work revolving around Furry/Kemono culture. Why don’t you come and discuss your thoughts on furries with others? We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing what you all have to say!
At JMoF 2016, in the participants’ panel submission called “The Furry Thesis Hearing”, a new form of enjoying JMoF/furry culture was proposed titled “Viewing Kemono from a Scholarly Perspective”. Instead of letting this initiative slip by and end right there, we decided that we would like to have it be continued, and the end result of that decision was the inception of the Japan Furry culture Studying Society.
“What does to mean to be a furry?” “Why are we so interested in furry/kemono things?” For those who want to try to earnestly discuss these topics and more, we’re looking for people like you. We’re providing a place for everyone to speak their minds on what they think regarding furries and kemono.
Notable past events from the Japan Furry Culture Research Society:
- Riryo Nagatani and Mangluca’s speech after The Furry Thesis Hearing.
- Sharing of personal experiences from furries.
- Conducted group work on specified topics relating to furry/kemono culture.
At the JMoF 2017 meeting as well, we will conduct group work that relates to furry and kemono culture. We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say!

当コンペティションは、「ケモノ」にまつわる写真の価値を評価・発信することで、写真というメディアが持つ魅力を再発見するとともに、ケモノ写真文化の発展に貢献することを目的に開催しています。
2回目となる今回の写真募集テーマは「ミステリー」です。「神秘的」「不可思議」「謎」「怪奇」「推理」そしてそれらに関連する内容など、ミステリーという言葉の解釈は自由です。

Japan Furries Photo Competition (JFPC) is a competition for furry photographs.
We hold the competition to support the development and progression of the furry-photograph culture, as well as to highlight its fascinating points.
This year, we proudly announce that the theme of the photos will be MYSTERY. It implies anything mysterious, mystical, miraculous, unfathomable, bizarre, strange, or even about just solving riddles. It’s all up to your interpretation of the word “mystery”. We are looking forward to seeing your submissions.
